I attended the first Digital Media and Composition Institute at Ohio State, and was Associate Director of the second. With Lis Lindeman Ravert, I published "Literature and Digital Illumination" in Kairos. Though I finished my PhD in literature in August, I am interested in using digital media as a teaching tool (I'm currently a Lecturer in English at OSU).
Not sure if this counts as digital humanities, but I regularly teach online writing and film appreciation classes for a local university. I'd be happy to talk about the online teaching experience (pros and cons).
My interest in technology began with the NES and Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Excitebike.
