- Director of Discovery and Access
- Library, Information, and Technology Services, Mount Holyoke College
I am currently the Director of Discovery and Access at Mount Holyoke College, where I lead staff in Access Services, Technical Services, and Archives & Special Collections. My background is in cataloging & metadata and and in making both print and digital collections accessible on the web. From 2007-2011, I was Head of Metadata & Cataloging at North Carolina State University Libraries in Raleigh, NC. and, prior to NCSU, Head of Cataloging Services at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA). While NCSU does not have a humanities focus, it is a very high-tech organization and I was involved with all of our digital library efforts. At UVA, I worked with a myriad of digital humanities projects (including teaching for NINES). I am new at Mount Holyoke and we are very much in the process of thinking about digital humanities in a liberal arts college context.
